From 1 December – 3 January Liverpool city centre will be transformed into a festive spectacle by the return of the Snowflake Trail; the city’s very own winter festival of spectacular light and sound that will capture the imagination of young and old alike.
Follow the trail of local landmarks transformed by dazzling lights, swirling soundscapes and interactive illustrations and see sculptural snowflakes decorated by some of the region’s most exciting visual artists.
To take part, pick up a trail map from 1 December at participating retailers around the city centre, and solve the simple clue to win incredible prizes this Christmas.

1. Snowflake Sculptures
12 snowflake sculptures decorated by local and national artists have been scattered across the city centre. Can you spot all 12? Look for them on the trail map!

Take over the giant light window on the front of FACT with six different snowflake designs – simply Tweet #SnowflakeTrail followed by a number from 1 – 6 and your favourite colour to see your snowflake appear! Have a look at the different designs.
Hundreds of local schoolchildren have been hard at work decorating an illuminated paper chain that adorns the Church Street Christmas tree. See it glow from 4:30pm every day.
Visit the Bluecoat courtyard and play the Illumaphonium; a giant interactive music-making sculpture created by Michael Davis. Playing times:

Join Snowflake Trail author Lisa Bower at the Bluecoat for a family-friendly storytelling and making session, and hear her specially-created winter story.

Have you ever wanted to do magic? Make stone statues walk and talk? Join Lisa Bower, author behind the Snowflake Trail story at FACT, for a storytelling workshop bringing some of the city’s well-known figures to life. Recommended age 8+
